Thank you for your interest in the New River Gorge Bridge Day™ High Line scheduled for Saturday, October 20, 2012. This will be the 14th high line that we have done a high line off the New River Gorge Bridge.
Your high line ride may be by yourself or tandem with another person. Everyone may have to ride tandem due to weather and other issues that cannot be controlled. Your speed will be controlled by a belayer. You will drop 300’ while sliding approximately 800’.
You need to complete and sign the release form (i.e., be neat and legible) and bring it with you. Please bring limited “stuff” with you. You may bring a camera which can be attached to you while you slide. Warm clothes are recommended because it can be chilly on the catwalk on Bridge Day™.
We will operate rain or shine, and there are no refunds even if the event is cancelled or you do not show. Please email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or call, 304 574-1037, with your questions and/or concerns. Reservations are “first come, first serve.” You must pay in advance accepting that there are no refunds for whatever reason. You will be allowed to have someone take your space if we are notified by October 8, 2012. You must provide us with your substitute’s personal information.
On Bridge Day™, you will need to meet us on the north end of the New River Gorge Bridge at the end of the guardrail at a time to be announced in October 2012. You will need a photo ID. No one will be allowed to go underneath the New River Gorge Bridge with you.
You will receive instructions, a safety briefing, and be outfitted for your ride. Please be patient and not in a hurry. By the time you meet us, safety briefing, gear, walk out on the catwalk, wait your turn, ride the High Line, and get a shuttle back to the top, 2½-3 hours of your Bridge Day™ will be go by.
You will receive a wrist band that will allow you to ride the shuttle buses throughout the day. After riding the High Line, you may wish to get off the bus at Fayette Station, watch the BASE jumpers, and catch another bus later. If you lose the wrist band, you lose access to the shuttle buses.
We look forward to sharing with you the underside of the New River Gorge Bridge, the fall colors of the New River Gorge, and the excitement of descending from the Bridge. All persons going beneath the New River Gorge Bridge are subject to a law enforcement background check.
